How do i turn off messanger ? getting anoying messages ?

All about ive got a virus ect go to this site ect GRRRRRRRR.

I wake up and ive got a hundred of them have to click em all to get
rid of em ?

Ive disabled messenger well i though i have told it not to send me
anything yet it still is ???

Iwould LOVE to uninstall it but how ?

Dont think it was messenger at all now, ran Hijack this and found this
GainTicker thin deleted it now no messages ?, well not yet should have
had two or three by now hope that fixed it, iam pretty sure it
installed when i installed Divx codec

Also, here are a couple of things for you:

1. Turn off Messenger Service: Click Start-Run-Type services.msc and
click OK. Now scroll down to Messenger, right click and click
properties. Now stop the service and set it to disabled. Click OK, and
close the Services Window. After reboot, it should never start again.

2. To remove Windows Messenger (like MSN Messenger, only worse), type
this into Run and click OK:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
