How do I tell what version of windows xp professional that I have?

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to determine what version of windows
xp professional my computer is running. I know there is more than 1 version
but I'd like to know of a way to detemine the version. I have a Sony VAIO
computer and I want to do a clean install of just windows xp professional
from a cd that I have at home. But I can't reuse the cd key from that cd
since it is on another computer. I have the cd key for my VAIO laptop so I
just wanted to know if there was a way to determine the windows version that
I'm running. Thanks

Your Sony Product Key will only work with Sony's
restore method. It will not work with a different
version of Windows XP.

Go to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter.
