Under XP, Activesync kept my Pocket PC in sync with Outllok -contacts and
Calendar especially importnat to me.
Under Vista Home Premium, Activesync will not run - and the only sync I seem
to be able to establish with Pocket PC is with Media Player - no use to me at
all.
How do I establish a sync with Outlook under Vista??

Attach your Pocket PC and run Windows Update. If your device is compatible
it will offer you to install Windows Mobile Device Center.

Marvelous. Thank you very much indeed. Problem solved.
Now - why could that answer be easily found in either Help or FAQ??
Answeras to Microsoft please!

Thanks again.

You're welcome! :-)

FWIW; it is mentioned on the Windows Mobile front page;

Synchronize with your PC
•For Windows XP or earlier:
Download ActiveSync 4.5
•For Windows Vista:
Visit the Windows Mobile Device Center

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/default.mspx
