Problem synching Inbox with Pocket PC

G

Guest

I have two inboxes on my Outlook -- one is under "Personal Folders" and the
other is under my IMAP account. I only use the IMAP Inbox, and that's the
default e-mail folder I see when I open Outlook.

All was working perfectly until I purchased a Pocket PC.

Things still work well on my desktop, but only the Personal Folders Inbox,
which is usually empty since I don't use it, syncs with the Pocket PC. I
can't figure out how to sync the other Inbox with the Pocket PC, since it
doesn't show up on ActiveSync when I try to add it.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Irfan

IMAP folders can never be your delivery location folders and ActiveSync will
sync only with your delivery location folders. Anything you want to sync
using ActiveSync will need to be in the delivery location.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the reply.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a
'delivery location folder'.

I'm also still not sure how to solve my problem -- either I need to make
ActiveSync synch with my IMAP Inbox (which you say can't be done), or I need
to figure out how to get my e-mail moved automatically from my IMAP Inbox to
the Outlook Personal Folders Inbox.

Any further advice?

Thanks,

Irfan

Your "delivery location folders" are the folders in the data store Outlook
will use when you receive mail. Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next and look
at the "Delivery new e-mail to the following location" drop-down.

I believe rules run on IMAP folders. You can create rules to copy all
incoming messages to your "Outlook Today" (i.e., the default) Inbox.
