How do i sync new phone?

I have Cingular 8125 and use Outlook for my calendar and contacts. I am
going to reset the phone and delete all data, I am worried by syncing
afterwards it would think I deleted all of the information and not send the
existing data on the PC back to the phone. How do I ensure that the info
does get sent to the phone and not deleted from the PC?

Outlook has nothing to do with the process of synching. That's totally up
to the sync software you use.
