How do I switch off Norton Anti-Virus 2003's "virus found" messages ?

Hi

Anyone know how to switch off Norton Anti-Virus 2003's "virus found"
messages.
This is driving me friggin nuts!

Open Norton, click on Options and select Antivirus and go through the list.

I would assume there is a good reason for those messages? Call me
crazy, but if you dealt with the alleged virus issue, wouldn't that
solve the problem?
 
He may be talking about viruses found in his incoming e-mail.
If he gets a bunch, it is very annoying and Norton does have a choice to
silence that warning and take care of the problem automatically.
Something like: Repair and Silently Quarantine or Repair and Silently
Delete or Automatically Repair or maybe a combo.
