When i open outlook i get asked to enter network password, when i enter
correct password i then get error:

Task 'pop3.blueyonder.co.uk-Sending and Recieving' reported error
(0x800CCC92): 'Your e-mail server rejected your login.Verify your username
and password in your account properties. Under tools, click E-mail accounts.
The server responded: - ERR Logon failure: unknown username or bad password'

However, if I either leave it until message goes away or actually do go in
and type the same password i typed to begin with, which is correct, i recieve
my e-mails anyway?
So this prooves the password and username are correct or i would not be
receiving my mail!
What can i do though to stop this coming up everytime i open outlook?

Please help it is driving me mad!!

Thanks

Margaret Andrew

Hard to say without any configuration details. Most likely its caused by
your virus scanner. Disable its integration with Outlook and try again.

Although you believe the account settings are correct , it often works to
just delete the account and then carefully reenter the details for a new
account.
