How do I stop receiving mails that I have received before?

The last few days I keep receiving the same mails as the ones I have received
before. It looks as if the programme does not realise I have received these
alreaday before. The date from which it receives these mails seems to be
fixed (always 26 September). So on 27 Sept., I receive the mails from 26 Sept
AND 27 Sept. On 28 Sept, I receive the mails from 26, 27 and 28 Sept. On 29
Sept, I receive the mails from 26, 27, 28 and 29, and so on.
Help is most welcome.

A few questions for you:
- what version of Outlook are you using?
- Do you have Outlook set to delete items from the server after receiving
them?
- have you checked with your ISP to see if there might be an issue at their
end of things?

Version: 6.0.2900.2180-xpsp2-gdr.

Where should I loo? I imagine I have since it has worked well for 2 years.

I haven't. It's a serious ISP and normally he lets me know whenever there is
a change on his side.

From your version it looks like you're using Outlook Express not Outlook. If
so, you might find more help in one of the Outlook Express newsgroups. Even
though they share a word (Outlook), the two products are very different.

There's an Outlook Express 6.x newsgroup...

microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...express&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups

If that group isn't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:
