How do I stop receipt of duplicate emails?

I receive several copies of identical emails with identical time stamps. How
do I stop this from happening?
It is not always the same sender.

Disable your AV or Firewall from scanning incoming/outgoing emails.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
