FIRST check the properties or options of each program you want to stop to see if there is an option you can turn off to stop it from running when you start windows.
after turning off then you can reboot.
then you can run msconfig and using the startup tab uncheck the programs you KNOW are a problem.
be extremely careful what you uncheck. the path to the program may indicate it is one you have installed.
you will get a complaining warning when you reboot because you have modified this.
