How do I stop Outlook from automatically shutting down after send.

After clicking on Send on an e-mail, Outlook 2003 shuts down by itself. How
can this be avoided
 
Since no one else has suggested anything, I recommend using the "Detect and
Repair" function under "Help".

The only setting I can find that's even close to your description is here:
In Outlook>Tools>Options>Mail Setup tab>Send/Receive button>UNCHECK "Perform
an automatic send/receive when exiting."
