I want to be able to send and recieve links and exe attachments, but Outlook
keeps blocking access to them. Is there any way to remove this feature from
outlook?

isn't that damn irritating, I can't believe that this was put in without the
option to uncheck it. MAJOR inconvenience. Pleaes let us know if there is
an easy fix

See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm for easy ways to get
the attachments off.

If you use OE, hit forward on a message or disable it in tools | options |
security.

HKLM\Current Users\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0
\Outlook\Security

Create a New String called Level1Remove.

For the data, list the extensions of the file types you
wish to send and receive separated by a semi-colon.

..exe; .bat; .htm; etc etc.

probably because ol2003 is office\11.0?

Thanks for the help on this, what a pain MS can be. I got it to work in Outlook 2003, just make sure you dont use " " around the key value and DO use the dot before the extension name. I know this post is a little late but the thread sure helped me.
