How do I stop Google replacing Outlook whenever I start Outlook?

Office XP Professional installed on a Windows XP (Home) computer. When I
open Outlook I get the Outlook page, but after 5 seconds it is replaced by
the Google search page. I used the "back" function to return to Outlook but
Google returns after about 5 seconds.
