You know, I don't want to put any mojo on my email address, but I've
been using this hotmail account on newsgroups for years and I still get
more spam at my comcast account than this widely distributed one.
Course, I think comcast sold my address the very day they gave it to me.
Could be Hotmail has better spam filters, perhaps coupled with virus
scanners.

Same here, have been using my Hotmail for 7 years now ('96) and the amount
of spam on my home adress is a lot worse though I use it very selectively.
The spamfilter in my emailadres is just because of all the people advising
me to use a spamfilter , got tired of explaining that, apparantly, my
adress is not interesting
