How do I show details of an appointment on the Calendar screen?

M

Monica Gandhi

Hi - I am new to Outlook and am only using it to sync to my new iPhone. I
was formerly a Palm fan. Anyway, I often put in items in my calendar that
are just detailed comments for the day to remind me of something. These text
items are longer than what is allowed in the "Subject" and "location" lines
of a typical Outlook appoinment on the calendar, but they fit in the details
box. However, I have to click on that item to look at details - any way that
you know of to elect to show the details right on the computer Calendar
screen without clicking on each item? Thanks for letting me know!

try the Day/Week/Month view with autopreview. also, if you hover over it the
tool tip should show details. or you can turn on the preview pane.

I am having a similar issue (I think). This method works fine when viewing
by day or week but not by month - we are trying to view all the details of
the appointment on multiple lines within the month view (using Outlook 2007).
How do we accomplish this please?

Thanks!

Outlook doesn't support multiple line appointments in the month view. You
can either hover over the appointments to see the tooltips or turn on the
reading pane. You can select the reading pane to use the bottom layout -
in outlook 2007, the pane layout is folder specific and it generally shows
more of the selected appointment without affecting the calendar view so
much. This may also help:
