How do I setup Address Layout in Word 2007?

In Word 2003, you could control how the data from Outlook Contacts appeared
when you imported it to a letter or envelope (name, title, company, address,
etc) by using "AddressLayout." Once you coded it, you highlighed the text,
clicked on "Insert", clicked on the "AutoText" then clicked on "New." Then
you clicked OK and you were done.

In Word 2007, I cannot find this on the menus. I found how to add "auto
text" to the toolbar, but it does not have a "new" option.

Can anyone helP?

QuickParts is the name in Word 2007.

On Ribbon select Tab
Insert
QuickParts
Building Blocks Organiser

This may be what you are looking for. I am not sure if you are talking about
availability of addresslayout default autotext option or the ability to save
and play autotext as you did in 2003 and previous versions.

AutotextName press F3 still plays QuickParts (autotext).

I guess I know less than I thought I did!

I found insert/quickparts/save selection to quickparts gallery and saved the
text as "AddressLayout". But when I try to fill in the address for an
envelope, it does not transfer company name or title. My objective is to
draw from Outlook and address an envelope with name, title, company and
address.

Any further advice?

Please disregard my previous "reply." I must have gotten lost in which
window was open. I tried it again and it works!

Thank you for your guidance.

Sorry, I have not checked whether LayoutAddress entry still works with
Outlook 2007 as yet - you could perhaps try Outlook Public group to see if
someone there knows.

And check back for further responses to your query.

I am somewhat new to 2007 and find its use like wading though treacle, but
it appears the AddressLayout trick doesn't work (or at least I can't get it
to work).

The macro code to read Outlook at http://www.gmayor.com/Macrobutton.htm
still works with Word 2007 as do the envelope templates available for
download from my web site.

Yes Graham it does as do yours.
I just tried with Insert Address in 2007 and it works as per usual.
Glad someone is on the ball (it's definitely not me..)

Hmmm. There were issues with earlier Word versions where some users found
the AddressLayout trick worked and others didn't. There's a KB article about
it. Suffice to say I have tested it here and cannot get it to work on my PC.
I am not losing too much sleep about it ;)
