how do i set up auto save for powerpoint documents

I stupidly clicked no when asked to save a document as I was shifting between
views. I realised it hadn't save automatically at all since I opened the
document. I'm not sure how to change my settings so it automatically saves
every 10 mins.
 
Autorecover settings can be put every 10 minutes, but that's not the same as
a regular periodic save. For that you need something like this:

(The autorecovery is only for when PPT crashes -- it means you might be able
to get some of your file back.)
