how do I set up an outlook rule to automatically save attachments.

I would like to be able to automatically detach and save all of my email file
attachments as they are received through outlook. I still would like to be
able to select the attachment through outlook and be able to open it. I
would also like to be able to forward these messages without having to go
through any additional steps. Has anyone tried doing this?

Your first desire and the second two cannot coexist. If you detach the
attachment, you've removed it from Outlook's ability to see it.
