How do I set my styles back to the default Word style formats?

I must have saved customized styles to the normal.dot template and I'd like
to revert everything back to the plain default Word styles for all new
documents. I create new styles for many of my projects so I don't want to
have to go back in and change things around every time I open a new document.
Do I have to re-load normal.dot or is there another way? Thanks.
 
Diane,

Close MS Word. Then locate and delete normal.dot. When MS Word opens
again, it recreates the normal.dot template.

To find normal.dot:
1. Open up my computer. In the address bar, type in:
%appdata%\microsoft\templates

2. Press enter or click Go.
