also, you can turmn on the macro recorder (Tools/ Macro / record New Macro )
before you start any task. Turn it of when you're done, then examine the code
that Excel generates and try to see what its does and why. You can step
through each line using the F8 key
start with simple tasks...copy some data ...color some text...etc
