How do I send from Word?

I'm unable to send from Word 2007. I had successfully done so for several
months, now I can't. I get the message:
"The host 'smtp'could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly. This also happens when trying to send an article from
the Internet
 
SMTP refers to your outgoing mail server. Are you having problems sending
mail from your e-mail program? Check the e-mail account settings.
