How do I search/replace between-sentence spacing errors?

i"ve recently started editing of documents for online publication. One of
"my" writers cannot be convinced to leave TWO spaces between the end of one
sentence and the beginning of the next. It will take me days to manually
correct her spacing. Does WORD have a facility for doing a "search and
replace" that would find the end of a sentence (irrespective of a ?, ., !,
etc.) and plug in that second space for me?

Have you considered the possibility that your writer is right and you are
wrong? Without wanting to start a flame war (which this topic often
generates), I will merely point out that this is a frequent subject of
debate. Unless you're using a monospaced font, I'd leave well enough alone.

While I agree with Suzanne, if you search the group you should find
instructions for using Find and Replace with wildcards selected to do what
you want.

This link will search all the Word-dedicated MS newsgroups at once:
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?q=group:microsoft.public.word
..*

[fix URL if broken by line wrapping]

But it would not take you days to run multiple find and replaces for "period
space" "colon space" "question mark space" etc anyhow.
