How do I search past messages for topics related to my problem?

I would not have to ask as many questions if I could search message headers
or messages to find answers to my questions that have already been posted in
the past. My server has 55000
messages so I think it a little hard to do it by scrolling Ha! Thanks Bob

Click the Find Icon on your Outlook Express toolbar.

If the Icon isn't there, right click a blank area, and select customize.
In the panel that opens, scroll down the left panel until you see
the icon labeled Find. Click it once, click Add -> and then click Close.

Bob,

Although I don't care for it much for actually monitoring the newsgroup, the
web interface MS provides for their newsgroups can be a handy search engine.
What's nice about it is you can search the subject and message bodies of all
posts without first downloading everything into Outlook Express first. That
saves you time and hard drive space (this is a huge group).

Here's the start page for finding groups:
http://communities2.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

I linked to the start page instead of directly to the FrontPage group so you
can find other groups of interest while you're there.

A nifty thing I just found while there is that you can search for a person's
name and the results will show you all the threads they participated in and
even indicate visually which posts are theirs. Handy if you remember who
posted an answer you're looking for. :)

Good luck!
