How do I save a simple table

Following up on a previous question: how do I save a simple two column table
which I have formatted to my needs and which also has an icon in it. I tried
saving it as a style but Word 2003 gave me so much problems in table styles
that I gave up. Is there a quick way how I can apply the table in a document
speedily each time I require?
 
Create an AutoText entry based on an existing table, formatted the way you
want it, and insert the AutoText when needed.
