How do I run Word as an administrator to stop MS live runnng up?

The 'COM' add in for MS live cannot be removed under options. A message
saying that it can only be connected or disconnected by an administrator
appears if I try and remove it. At start up of Word the MS live 'pop up'
appears offering the option to connect to MS Live appears. Ticking the box
do not show this message again has no effect. When I exit Word I get a
message saying that MS Live has stopped working. So I feel the best thing is
to shut it down until I want to use it.

So how do I get Administrator privileges? 'right click, does not offer the
'run as administrator' option.

Is this your home computer? Then it should be as simple as logging off and
then logging back on as Administrator, after which you can perform the tasks
that you want to do...

I am logged on as the administrator but Word nor Excel for that matter
recognise that.

Which version of Word? What are the steps you are taking to disable the COM
add-in?

I am running Word 2007. As I said in the opening post, I have tried opening
the Word options menu navigated to the COM 'add ins' but when I try to delete
the MS Live add in a pop up appears saying ony an administrator can delete
that add in which is available to other users. I am however able to delete
other COM add ins.

Have you looked in Add or Remove Programs (in Control Panel) to see if this
particular add-in can be uninstalled from there?
