I have an Excel VBA macro I want to run at regular intervals throughtou
the day. I set it up to run from the task scheduler and it works fine
All the display of pop-ups, et al have been shut off, so it run
silently without displaying anything, which is just what I want. Bu
when I log off (can't leave the account logged on, unattended) I fin
that the job gets hung waiting for the display, I believe. Although, a
I said, Excel is not displaying anything. To get out of the hun
situation I have to "End Task" from the scheduler.

Does anyone know a way to run Excel from the scheduler without havin
the display available?

Thank

Most likely because it is trying to access a file for which the
account used by the Task Scheduler has insufficient access
rights. I suggest you log on under that very same account,
then run the task in the foreground to see what happens.
