I have a powerpoint slide that is a landscape oriented map of the U.S. with a
Heading. How do I rotate the entire slide 90 degrees (oriented portriat),
including the heading and the map? I don't want the map and heading to change
to being oriented portriat.

Do a Ctrl-A to select all the objects on the slide.
Do a Ctrl-X to cut the objects.
Click File > Page Setup.
Set the slides orientation to portrait.
Now, do a Ctrl-V to paste the objects.
Rotate the objects 90 degrees.
