How do I rotate a video file using powerpoint or media player??

I am trying to rotate a video file that I filmed on my digital camera. I
must have filmed it sideways and now I want to rotate it but I cant seem to
do it....When I put it into powerpoint the rotate 90 degrees choice is not an
option, is there another way to do it??
 
Afraid that is beyond PPT's abilities. PPT simply plays the file "as is".
You will need to use a video editing application to make this change.

Do you know of any video editing applications that i can download that will
help me with this??
 
Off hand, I know of no free video editor capable of doing this.
