back to default color. What has happened is I did something that I probably
shouldn't have. You guys helped me in the past but I lost the sheet with the
instructions. All my desktop icons of course have words just below them. They
are now in bright blue. My desktop, Windows XP, is usually the AZUL pattern.
But, I also have a partial picture I downloaded from a website. What I
thought I was doing was placing a shortcut on the desktop to open the website
to that picture. Needless to say I have no icon that does what I just
described but DO have a quarter of a picture in lower right quadrant of my
screen. Offline of course. Thanks from the beginning.

Control Panel, System, Advanced, Performance area, Settings button, Visual
Effects tab , uncheck "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the Desktop"
