how do I retrieve a deleted item

I have deleted items by mistake from my deleted items list. Where does it
go? I need to get it back.

DBxtract will extract messages, even the delete-marked ones that get
hidden, but not if you or the program has already performed a
compaction.

Did you read the original post? Do you realize in which newsgroup is
this thread? NOTHING you delete in your .pst message store goes to the
recycle bin. Why? Because it is still WITHIN the file. The file
didn't get deleted, just an item WITHIN the file got its status changed
to "Deleted" so the client won't show it anymore.
