I incorrectly removed Word 2003 from the Office list of programs as
shown when I go to Office from Start then All Programs. How can I
restore Word to that list. Word is still available in my computer
but its awkward to get to it.
In Windows Explorer, look in either C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs or C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Start
Menu\Programs to find the folder named Microsoft Office (it could be in
either or both places, depending on how Office was installed).
With the Microsoft Office folder open, click File > New > Shortcut to start
the wizard. In the first page, click the Browse button and locate the
winword.exe file, probably under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office
11. Select that file and click OK, which puts the full path to the file into
the box. Click Next, type in what you want the shortcut's text to be, and
click Finish.
