How do i restore default margin settings in Word.

My documents suddenly have bizarre margins and the little help puppy isn't
helping me find anything other than ways to change the margins on a specific
document. I really want to go back to the margins i had when i first set up
word

open the normal.dot which is the template upon which all
new documents are bsed.

You will find this file in c:\program files\microsoft
office\templates. Open it, modify the margins and save.
Close the template then create a new document. This
change will not affect existing documents, only those you
create from now on.

Rename normal.dot to oldnormal.dot. This will create a new default template
when Word starts. You can recover any personalisations from the old template
using the organizer. Note that normal.dot is a hidden file in recent Word
versions.
