How do I resize pictures when attaching them?

When attaching several pictures, usually a pop-up window appears asking if
you want to resize them or keep the original size. This window does not
longer appear, and there aren´t any other options to do this. How do I resize
them or make that window appear again?

From Explorer you mean? When you rightclick an image and choose Send To->
Mail Recipient?

See if reregistering the dll solves it for you;

Start-> Run; regsvr32 %windir%\system32\shimgvw.dll
