How do I reset bullet icon to basic bullets?

Somehow my bullets button was programmed to produce
heading 2 style and I need to reset to default setting.
How do I do reset the bullet icon to its default setting?
This is for Word 97.

Format | Bullets and Numbering. Select the pane that is showing Heading 1
and click the Reset button.
