Using Word, I have a form that needs to be changed monthly. If I click on
the word and backspace, it pulls the rest of the line with it. I would like
to avoid this. How do I change a word without changing the alignment of the
rest of the line?

Make sure the word you insert is exactly the same length as the one you
replace.

Hello Ron

usually, in a form, only those parts that need to be changed should be
accessible. And everything else should be fixed.

So, either you have one huge paragraph and write freely in it -- then
you should not bother that text reflows.

Or you setup a fixed, say, table layout. Say, with 3 columns. You add
fixed text in col 1 and 3, and a form field into column 2 for the
changeable part.
