How do I repeat an endnote without creating a new number?

I am writing a paper. I have a paper I would like to cite several times but
each time I try to copy the endnote, word creates a new number. I'd like the
program to allow me to repeat the citation without a new number.

Try searching help for "Refer to the same footnote or endnote more than
once." See topic 10 at
http://www.word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/FootnoteFAQ.htm.
