hi, I am getting a prompt to repair the mdb file... when i choosed to repair,
some data was getting lost. my query is with out getting lost of data how we
can attempt to repair mdb files in Access?

The first thing that you do when prompted to repair the database is to click
on No. Get completely out of Access; open up Windows Explorer; find the .mdb
file that's the problem; them make a copy or two of it. Then put the copy far
away in a safe place like on another hard drive.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:
