How do I repair corrupted EXCEL 2003 files?

I was working on a spreadsheet, had finished it but before I could save it I
lost power. Ever since then it only opens as a corrupted file. When I open
it as a corrupted file everything is there and all the other sheets in this
file have good data. I can only open this file by going directly to
EXCEL2003. If I try to access it with Windows Explorer it just returns to
Explorer and does not open the file. I was able to extract one of the data
sheets and make a separate file out of it. I then sent it to my laptop (from
my desktop) and I have no trouble with the laptop. I was able to insert the
data into the laptops files and there is no problem. I use Windows XP home
edition on the desktop and Windows XP Professional on the laptop. I have
also tried Help, recovering data from damaged workbooks in 2003. Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

See if any of the suggestions here help:
