"Windows Media Format 11 runtime".

I do not want it, HOW can I permanently remove it.

THEN, what MS UPDATE do I block to stop the download permanently.

"REMOVE", in Control Panel does not do it. Get a message that it is
changing back to V10, but it does not do it.

Thanks

Just curious, but why do you want to remove it ? Does it hinder some
software or cause you problems ? Error messages ? The old adage "if it ain't
broken, then don't fix it" rules.

However, if you simply want to roll back to WMP10, I suggest you uninstall
it first then uninstall WMP11, re-boot and you should end up with WMP10.

Here are some websites - do these help ?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...e+Windows+Media+Format+11+runtime&btnG=Search

Just refuse any offer to update from WMP10 to WMP11 when asked.

Cheers,
Jerry
