How do I remove WIN 98 SE from dual boot (98+XP)

I wish to end my dual boot and seem to recall that it was a
complicated procedure.

My setup is 2 hard drives
Hard Drive #1 Set up to partition C & D with the Win 98 OS on C and XP
on D
Hard Drive #2 Set up as E and used for data storage

Can someone point me to a detailed method?

1. Boot into WinXP.
2. Rename c:\Windows to c:\Windows.98
3. Wait a week.
4. If all is well, delete c:\Windows.98

Who said it was complicated?

And if you wish to remove Windows 98 from the boot menu:
5. Click Start / Run / notepad c:\boot.ini
6. Delete the line that refers to Windows 98.

Note that you must retain your current disks and that you must
not attempt to format drive C:.
