I used to download screensavers, (i stopped when i found out the hard way,
that they are dangerous), and i have some screensavers in my screensavor
options (Control panel, display options, screensaver), that i do not want but
i cant find how to uninstall them. They are not in the start menu or
add/remove programs. I also have some of which i uninstalled (they provided
an uninstaller) but they are still in the drop down menu i just cant use
them, is there any way to remove them from there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Dustin

As they most likely have an .scr extension and if you know the name
involved, do a search in Windows Explorer for "*.scr" (no quotes) to find
them on the HD. Getting them out of the registry may take a little more
'doing.' If you are not familiar or comfortable with manual reg editing,
try something like jv16 Power Tools (search Google for the last free
version, works very well to remove detritus in the reg) or Crap Cleaner,
free from www.ccleaner.com . Both do a fine job of cleaning up the remnants
of since removed files and proggies.

1. See if it is listed in the 'Add/Remove Programs' in the Control Panel.
2. If not, then delete the .scr file from Windows\System32 directory.
