How do I remove recent documents in word 2007?

In Microsoft Word 2007, clicking office button displays new, open, convert
etc. and recent documents, how do I remove those from the list ? Sombody
please suggest, thanks.

There is no way to selectively edit this list. If you set the
number of recent document to zero (or one, or two, etc.) in the
Word Options/Advanced/Display the list can be cleared of entries.
