How do I remove "read only" from multiple documents at one time

You are ahead of me... How do you remove it on a single
powerpoint presentation?

See my answer above. Basically, use Windows Explorer to select the file,
rightclick, choose Properties, remove the check next to "Read only"

Or open it in PowerPoint, choose File, Save As and save it to a new name.
