How do I remove paragraph mark from outlook messages?

I copied something into an email and it somehow turned on formatting when I
reply or create new email messages. I am using Word as default for email
messages, but I do not have formatting turned on in Word. I cannot find the
show/hide icon on the standard toolbar in Outlook.
 
In the mail message window is the Word Formatting toolbar showing? On the
Menu bar: View>Toolbars, click Formatting. Show/Hide button should be there.
 
While creating an email message go to the Tools menu > Options > View tab.
See if the settings are different from Word's default
 
Thank you Vince. In a new message when you select the Tools menu > Options >
View tab there is a formatting marks section. In mine the All was selected.
After deselecting, the paragraph mark disappeared for all new messages and
replies. This formatting section does not show up from the main outlook menu
system. Thanks again for your help.
