How do I remove or modify entries from the work built-in menu?

I've added the WORK built-in menu to a customized toolbar and have added a
few files. I want to be able to change and/or delete the files but I can't
see how to remove an entry.

Press Ctrl+Alt+- (the minus sign or hyphen on the main keyboard - not the
one on the numeric keypad).
Your cursor will change to thick black minus sign
Click on the Work menu and move the cursor down to the item you want to
delete and press Enter (or left-click). Do this carefully because if you
accidentally click when the cursor is not where you want it you may
(permanently) delete something else.

The work menu is one of my favorites but is no longer documented. See
http://addbalance.com/word/workmenu.htm or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/WorkMenu.htm. Note the warnings about the
removal command!
