How do I REMOVE an email "locked" in my OUTBOX...It is always in .

I have an email message with Jpegs attached LOCKED in my OUTBOX in a send
mode. It will not send. Just sits there. I've tried to DELETE it but I
cannot do that either. What do I do to remove it COMPLETELY?
