how do i read my emails that come in word. cannot open them

i am trying to read email sent from childs school, news letter etc. but i get
a message say illeagel operation,in word, when i try to open it this happens
each time the school send me letters. i need to know how to open emails via
microsoft word.

You don't open emails in Word. You read your email in Outlook/Outlook
Express or AOL mail or whatever. If there is a document attached to the
mail, save it to your hard disk first, then open it in Word.
