How do I re-install Win XP Pro

I am currently running XP Pro, but with some loss of functionality. I want to reformat my had drice and then re-install everything. How do I go about it, please?

Boot the machine with your WinXP CD, then follow the prompts.
 
True, but CAUTION:

Save any personal data or files to a removable medium BEFORE you do this.
Re-Formatting your HDD will LOSE (Permanently) everything on your HDD.
