How do I purge an email from auto-complete?

Several months ago, I misspelled a client's email address and now auto
complete wants to stick that misspelled address every time I type the first
few letters. Several times I've sent invoices to the wrong address. What
can I do to purge that misspelled address from my system?
 
I believe that you can just hit your delete key while that "email address" is
selected.
 
That was just way too simple (he says as he smacks his forhead with the palm
of his hand)
