How do I Print Photos in a selected order?

Am using Windows XP. Have arranged my photos in folders in specific order.
I am trying to print out 35 photos on one page, as found in the Windows Print
programme, but in a specific order. They are in order in the folder but go
completely random when clicking on the 35 photo icon.
Can anyone help to sort this out. Have tried everything I can but they
still keep changing.

The images will print numerically and then
alphabetically across the page from left to
right. If you rename the files numerically
after they are sorted it should solve the issue.
(you may want to make copies of your files
to experiment with)

Try adding a number to each name after you
have them sorted the way you like them.

(001) summer.jpg
(002) fall.jpg
(003) winter.jpg
(when you reach 10...remove one zero)
(010) anniversary.jpg
(011) birthday.jpg
(012) vacation.jpg

Or you could select the group by going to...
File / Select all...and allow Windows to number
them. Right click the first file in the selected
group and from the menu...choose...Rename.
Enter (1).jpg then press...Enter. Windows
will add the rest:

(1).jpg
(2).jpg
(3).jpg
